The Scroll is an online journal founded by the University of Southern California's Phi Alpha Theta chapter in 2019 to promote undergraduate research in the field of history. There are two editions per year, published each semester.

 

In the first few weeks of each semester, students submit their papers for consideration. After their paper is reviewed and peer-edited, accepted papers are published online in the journal. Out of all the accepted papers, five students are selected to present at The Scroll Unrolled research conference, giving students valuable experience presenting their original research.
